FinalDCP is intended for various markets, such as independent filmmakers and small production companies, who want to encode their unencrypted movies for theatrical presentation on festivals or cinemas, for advertising agencies or production companies delivering cinema trailers and commercials, for film teams to process dailies for theatrical review and for theater owners to encode their own trailers, signage, info screens, local advertisement or event content.

Easy to use

If you ever wanted really easy DCP creation, then FinalDCP is the tool of choice. FinalDCP comes with the easiest interface available for DCP encoding ever. While being fully compatible with the Digital Cinema Naming Convention, the software has a drag’n’drop encoding mode, ideal for dailies and commercials. FinalDCP will automatically encode the content to JPEG2000, apply timestretch when required, and create the final DCP. The easiest way to create DCPs on the market.

Format support and camera dailies

If that wasn’t enough, it allows direct conversion from AVI and Quicktime movies and camera formats such as SI-2K, CineDeck, RED R3D RAW, ARRI Alexa (via ProRes, DNxHD) etc.. GoPro CineForm codec is supported in all flavors, including Stereo3D, making this the fastest way to produce 3D DCPs ever. You can even produce 3D dailies just by dragging CineForm Stereo3D files onto FinalDCP. More formats will be added over the coming months, including extensive RAW format conversion, making it the standard DCP dailies tool for any production. Clearly all 2K and 4K formats are supported.

Audio adjustment

If the embedded sound in your movie file isn’t quite right, it can be automatically rate converted to fit the DCI specifications, or you can replace it with separate audio files. Further FinalDCP takes already encoded MXF streams from previous encodings, or JPEG2000 streams which you can generate with our “JPEG2000 for Fusion” and “JPEG2000 for Nuke” plugins on a workstation or render farm (also available now) or using our Converter software, which also utilizes our network render engine.

While being so simple to use, FinalDCP has all it needs for a professional tool under the hood. Easy accessible buttons provide access to professional level conversion adjustments and allow full control over the final DCP.

Compatible to theater systems

DCPs created with FinalDCP are tested and compatibel with servers such as from Doremi, Sony, XDC, Cube, GDC, Dolby, etc., as well as with projectors from Barco, Sony, Christie, NEC, etc.. 3D DCPs are compatible with the common RealD, XPAND and Dolby3D display solutions.

FinalDCP FREE Edition

As a starting point for everyone interested we provide FinalDCP FREE Edition. This isn’t just a demo, but a fully featured Freeware DCP encoding software. It can run on a single computer or make use of your entire network with unlimited network rendering nodes. As a fair deal it superimposes a transparent sponsoring logo in the lower right of your footage and does not accept pre-encoded JPEG2000 or JPEG2000 MXF files. Just register and download the software for Windows or MAC OSX now. We strictly recommend to check out the FinalDCP FREE Edition before buying one of the other packages, so you can verify it fits your needs.

FinalDCP Commercial Edition

FinalDCP + 1 render Node = Euro 350,00 + VAT
If you like to create DCPs without our logo being superimposed you can start off with the smallest package FinalDCP + 1 render Node for just Euro 350,00 + VAT. It includes the unlitmited FinalDCP software and rendering on one Node. The Manager needs to run on one fixed machine, while the render Node and FinalDCP application licenses float freely among your network one the same or even different computers, as you like. You can add more render Nodes as you grow with your projects by buying more packages.

FinalDCP + 5 render Nodes = Euro 750,00 + VAT
If you need fast transcoding on a professional level, we highly recommend to look at the FinalDCP + 5 render Nodes package, which allows you to render on 5 computers simultaneously (licenses for Nodes and FinalDCP are floating). This package is currently discounted for an introductory price of Euro 750,00 + VAT. The price will raise to Euro 1.000,00 + VAT on July 1^st, 2012. So hurry, don’t miss that rare chance.

Please note:
You can run FinalDCP and RenderNode on both MAC OSX and Windows systems, as the licenses are floating. Right now the commerical license server in the manager application itself is only available for Windows (MAC OSX version following soon). If you need to run the commercial version on MAC OSX, you need to have a PC (physical or via Bootcamp or Parallels) that will become the license server, while you run RenderNode and/or FinalDCP natively on MAC OSX. This restriction does not apply for the FinalDCP FREE Edition: The Manager of the FREE Edition does run natively on MAC too. Sorry for any inconvience that might cause. We will update this page shortly as soon as the MAC OSX native license Manager becomes available.
